JBF used hot pink as the base color and added a subtle yellow hue to the Nike swoosh for a colorful contrast. In an effort to match the silver ribbon to the rest of these sneakers, the designer added thin gray ribbons on the middle panel. JBF wanted to note that the silver ribbon can be removed easily, recognizing that this design element has polarized those who have viewed these customs.

If you start your examination of the Kaboom Dunks Shoes from the heel, you may not think much of these customs. With the exception of a pair of pink pupils emerging from the black panel, JBF left the back half of the Kaboom! Dunks clean. The designer focused his attention on the eyelets and toes, setting off some artistic explosions around the white toe box.
JBF used jagged black lines to create the shock waves surrounding pink/white flash points. Instead of setting off a few simple explosions, JBF overlapped the shock waves to simulate all-out war. The designer's use of subtle colors like black, gray and white allowed the pink flash points stand out. The Kaboom Nike Dunks Shoes demonstrate JBF's ability to make sophisticated sneakers without resorting to wild colors and crazy graphics.

The toe and toe box are painted black/red to symbolize the blood splatters in Leatherface's workshop of horrors. Sweatshop Clothing painted the heel tag red with a black Nike swoosh to stand apart from the flesh-colored paint used on the heel. The middle panel and heel feature flesh-colored swatches unified by red stitching to simulate Leatherface's mangled visage.
My favorite part of the Chainsaw Massacre Nike Vandals 2.0 Shoes is the chainsaw design of the Nike swoosh. Sweatshop painted the Nike swoosh metallic silver to simulate the body of a chainsaw. The chain is created using silver and black paint around the swoosh's edge, producing the appearance of motion as your eye moves from toe to heel. I think Sweatshop Clothing did a great job building off the first version of his Chainsaw Massacre Nike Vandals.
